My Education and Training

Dr. Victoria Todd (she/her)  obtained a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University (GWU) and completed an internship at Appalachian State University Counseling Center. Dr. Todd also has a Masters of Psychology from GWU, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Barry University, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The Alvin Ailey School/Fordham University.

I value the liberating properties of therapy.

Dr. Todd deeply values working with traditionally marginalized communities, such as first-generation immigrants, individuals of the Caribbean diaspora and multicultural students adjusting to Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs). She is anchored by a social justice lens that incorporates psychodynamic theory and the use of interpersonal relationships. Dr. Todd believes it is a privilege to help her patients work through various challenges in their lives. She has developed an expertise in mood disorders, identity development, as well as racial-trauma. Her approach to therapy is warm and inviting. It is not uncommon for Dr. Todd to use humor as she helps her patients achieve their goals and foster insight. She aims to establish an authentic relationship with every person she works with.
